Central Baltic SMEs Took the Next Step Toward Sustainable Growth at the Zebra ScaleUp Ecosystem Event
On October 7th, mission-driven entrepreneurs from Finland and Estonia region came together for the Ecosystem Event, part of the Zebra ScaleUp Program. The event focused on practical steps for scaling sustainably and the lessons learned by the companies from the previous batch of the program.

In the first keynote, Mari Haavisto from Sus+Com Agency spoke on “Must Have—Not Nice to Have! Why Sustainability is a Core Part of Business.” She shared how integrating sustainability into business operations is not only a responsibility but also a competitive advantage that builds trust and long-term value.
Three Zebra ScaleUp companies—Antscape, Marleq, and Tuntu—then shared their journeys toward sustainable growth. Their stories showed what it takes to turn mission-driven ideas into scalable, resilient business models.
Each company also gave tips and commented on their experiences in the Zebra ScaleUp program. Strong coaching and mentoring, networking and action-oriented approach were among the mentioned benefits.
After a short break, Martin Goroško from Estonian Business Angels (EstBAN) led a session on “How to Secure Funding?” He broke down what early-stage investors look for and explained how companies with clear sustainability goals can stand out in the funding process.
The event wrapped up with an introduction to the Zebra ScaleUp Program, outlining how selected SMEs can continue their growth journey through the Bootcamp Phase. In this next step, participants receive group mentoring, coaching and gain access to valuable tools such as their individual road maps for sustainable growth.
